This calculator is a tool to help you estimate the amounts to be paid for maintenance and/or child support under the Child Support Standards Act in New York State.
These numbers are guidelines and a judge or the parties may deviate from them as needed.
TERMS
MAINTENANCE - Sometimes referred to as alimony - is support paid by the higher-earning spouse to the lower-earning spouse during and/or after a divorce
CHILD SUPPORT - Payments made by the noncustodial parent to the custodial parent to support their minor children.
